Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD)

Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) services three and four year olds.  Three-year olds attend the morning session and four-year olds attend the afternoon session.  The three-year old program begins with free-play time when they first arrive.  We then do a seasonal or letter-of-the-week coloring sheet.  This is followed by circle time where we discuss such things as days of the week, the weather, and we also say our pledges and sing a patriotic song.  Center time is next; we have a block center, a puzzle center, a library center, a dramatic play center, and a computer center.  After center time, we work on an art project.  Then it's time for snack and home.  Our four-year olds follow the same basic program although instead of center time, we have lessons in language arts, math, science, and social studies.
