Helping
Your
Child |
Read to your child everyday. Make daily experiences into problem solving opportunities. Ask "what if" questions. Ask your child what they are reading. Check out books on audio tape from the library and have your child read along with the tape. Help your child study for tests. Make drive time family time. Talk to your children about their school activities. |
| Absences |
You have 4 days to send a note to excuse each absence before it becomes unexcused. If your child has an unexcused absence, then the highest grade they can earn on makeup work is a 70. (GPISD Policy) |
| Tardies |
Students arriving in their classroom after the 8:10 bell rings, will be sent to the Office to get a Tardy Pass. When your student has 5 Tardies in a six weeks or semester, they will be referred to the office. |
| Homework |
Daily Monday- Friday except for PTA meeting nights |
| Signing In |
YOU MUST SIGN IN at the front desk immediately upon entering the school building.. |
| Background Check |
Background Checks must be completed before you can attend class parties, field trips, or volunteer your time during the school day. It takes two weeks for the process to be complete. To complete your form contact the Mr. Myrick in the main office |
